‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ to Get Official Nepali Edition; Kathalaya Secures Publishing Rights
The globally popular book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” will now be available in an official Nepali translation, as Kathalaya Inc. has acquired the authorized publishing rights. Kathalaya has completed a formal agreement with the U.S.-based Rich Dad Operating Company for this purpose.
Kathalaya co-founder and director Rajivdhar Joshi and Kim Kiyosaki, the CEO representing Rich Dad Operating Company, signed the agreement.
Written by entrepreneur and investor Robert Kiyosaki, the book has sold over 40 million copies worldwide and has been published in more than 51 languages across 109 countries. The Nepali edition will be released under Kathalaya’s publishing brand “We Read.”
Director Joshi stated that the Nepalese publishing sector has faced challenges internationally due to unauthorized translations and publications of foreign books. He believes that this agreement will help strengthen Nepal’s credibility in the global publishing industry.
The Nepali version, titled “Dhani Buba, Garib Buba,” is expected to be available in the market by the end of the Nepali month of Poush.
