Help Dhurmush Rise Again — Because a Hero Must Remain a Hero

By Rameshwar Yadav

Heroes are not born in comfort; they are carved in struggle. And among the heroes modern Nepal has witnessed, Sitaram Kattel “Dhurmush” stands tall—not because he is perfect, but because he dared to dream beyond himself. At a time when Nepal desperately needed hope, he gave it form in the shape of community, creativity, and compassion. Today, as he faces criticism, setbacks, and public doubt, the question before us is simple: Do we help rebuild a hero—or do we watch him fall?

The Journey of a Hero

Dhurmush is more than a comedian, more than a beloved actor. He is a symbol of what ordinary Nepalis can achieve with extraordinary will.
When earthquakes reduced lives to dust, he built homes. When communities broke apart, he stitched them together with laughter and unity. His projects—be it model villages or social campaigns—were not acts of charity alone; they were statements of what a single Nepali with a heart full of courage can do.

A nation admired him. Children copied his dialogues. Families gathered around televisions to share his humor. He became a hero—not by title, but by action.

Why Heroes Fall

We often forget that even heroes are human. They make mistakes. They trust too much. They work too fast, dream too big, and sometimes stumble.
But in Nepal, we have a habit:

  • We lift people to the sky one day
  • And pull them down the next

Rumors spread faster than truth. Criticism becomes entertainment. The same people who cheered him now question his every step. But is this how we treat someone who has already proven his love for the nation?
Is this the Nepal we want to be?

Help Him. Support Him. Believe in Him.

Heroes need not only admiration during their success but also shoulder during their struggle. When Dhurmush built villages, we called him a national treasure. Why do we hesitate now, when his hands—once building homes—now need support?

Supporting Dhurmush is not supporting a person.
It is supporting:

  • The culture of creativity
  • The spirit of service
  • The dream of a better Nepal
  • The value of not giving up on our own people

A nation becomes great not by producing flawless citizens, but by standing with those who try to lift others even when they slip.

A Hero Must Be a Hero

Dhurmush is not seeking applause; he is seeking the chance to stand up again. And great nations ensure their heroes do not fall unattended. We owe him respect—not blind— but fair. We owe him encouragement—not exaggeration—but genuine.
Because if we cannot protect and uplift our heroes, what hope do we have of inspiring future ones?

Nepal needs Dhurmush.
Nepal needs heroes who rise after falling.
Nepal needs stories that do not end in betrayal but in redemption.

And today, the message is clear:
Help Dhurmush. Make him a hero again. Because a hero must remain a hero—not only in the past but in the heart of the nation.
