Entrepreneurial Voyage & Student Industry Exposure of Monastic School Concluded Successfully
The Entrepreneurial Voyage – Student Industry Exposure program, organized by Monastic School with the support of NYEF Birgunj Chapter and NYEF Janakpur Chapter, concluded with remarkable success, leaving Grade 12 students inspired and industry-ready. Designed as an inter-chapter initiative, the event aimed to bridge the long-standing gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices.
The participation and enthusiasm of the students made the event truly meaningful. Throughout the program, members from both NYEF chapters warmly welcomed the student delegation, ensuring a productive learning atmosphere and providing continuous guidance.
Speaking about the significance of the program, Dr. Sonu Kumar, Managing Director of Monastic School, remarked,
Students had the unique opportunity to hear from experienced speakers representing the business community of Madhesh Province, who shared their journeys, challenges, and insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
According to Dr. Sonu Kumar, as part of the industrial field visits, the students explored two notable industries:
- Britannia Nepal Industries
- Prestige Carpet Industries
He added that these visits offered firsthand exposure to:
- Real-time industrial operations
- The contrast between textbook theories and practical processes
- Challenges entrepreneurs face in building sustainable ventures
- The economic contribution of industries to local development
- The potential and excitement of entrepreneurship as a career path
Following the industrial tour, students took part in an engaging reflection session, where they discussed their learnings, shared personal insights, and expressed how such exposure encourages them to think beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
Dr. Sonu Kumar remarked,
“Entrepreneurial Voyage is not just an event—it's an investment in our students’ futures. When young minds directly witness how industries function and how entrepreneurs navigate challenges, it broadens their vision and boosts their confidence. Our goal is to nurture future leaders who understand both knowledge and its real-world applications.”
Finally, Dr. Sonu Kumar conclued his talk by saying,
"The initiative successfully promoted experiential learning, collaboration, and a stronger link between academia and industry. With its impactful outcomes, Entrepreneurial Voyage stands as a model program, demonstrating how early exposure to industry can ignite curiosity, ambition, and innovation among students."
